Tia + Adam
ITALIAN GARDEN, SOUTH TERRACE
BILTMORE, ASHEVILLE, NC

As a couple, Tia and Adam had very specific ideas about their event, including the color palate and overall feel of the reception. Like many couples, they felt like entertainment was a key component and so we put a lot of emphasis around the dance floor. We worked with Bloom Room and Classic Event Rental to suspend dozens of lanterns over the designated dance area to create a dreamy dance setting and included interesting food and beverage components, like tiny funnel cakes and assorted sandwiches served from cigar boxes, late into the event to maintain interest and energy – keeping everyone, including Tia’s precious grandmother, dancing into the wee hours.
Anytime you plan for an outdoor occasion, having strong back up plan is a crucial component. There was a threat of rain throughout the weekend – and we knew we needed to embrace the idea that we would need to use the tent we reserved. Because we were prepared, we had a clear tent on contingency and decorative fabric to soften the tent lines. We also ordered custom umbrellas as a favor to provide guests extra coverage from the ceremony tent to the reception tent. It was one of the most romantic events we have done – and they have the scrumptious photographs courtesy of Parker J Pfister to prove it.
