Ann + Ben
LIONCREST AT BILTMORE
ASHEVILLE, NC

For months leading up to her summer nuptials, Ann, her darling mother and I collaborated with Bloom Room on her deliciously lovely garden inspired wedding. We dreamed of a soft color palate with weathered cast iron urns, midas touches and crisp, clean calligraphy in an elegant black ink to create a polished look.
When we sat and explored themes and discussed how to make this event personal and meaningful, we decided to not overthink every detail and try too hard, but rather focus on the beauty and the simplicity of a flowering garden. Sweet details were abound – from the head table being named after the bride (Queen Anne’s Lace) along with a Queen Anne’s Lace bloom at each place setting to the selection of a beautiful oval cake design, a confection featuring botanical scrollwork found throughout the couple’s stationery pieces.
